Can I use a vg tranny for a ve engine?

you *can*, but you'll need to do some axle swapping and other issues. do some reading on the VE in a VG conversion. exact same thing, only backwards.

last time i called the dealer they didn't even know what a tranny resistor was and they didn't have one in stock. they wanted me to special order one for $80.

I guess ill just call a different dealer sometime. but i thought maybe some of you guys had exp. with this kind of thing because the tranny guy said its a common problem. maybe he was wrong.

quick question

does anyone know what all i need to convert a 1990 Max SE from an auto to a 5 speed and can it be done??

that's not a "quick question"

you need everything that's related to the 5spd tranny. get a 5spd parts car...it's a lot easier that way.

oh, i thought maybe someone would've posted a link to another forum or something. sorry, didn't really expect all the details, maybe a point in the right direction. i've got a list and it seems pretty close the same componentry as that of pretty much most front wheel conversions i've done. i was figuring as such though about the parts car.
