Car doesn't start

I have a 93 Maxima SE with 89K miles. I taken care of my maxima with your help and FSM. It was giving only mechanical problems so far..

Today it is refusing to start. When I press the ignition I hear the turning sound but engine doesn't run..? I think battery is fully charged

What could be wrong?

I had replaced fuel filter and pump 30K miles ago. How do I find out it is not the starter/solenoid?

Any hints

I had that problem a while back and after giving it a tune up and changing the fuel filter it started working like a champ...... Then it started fawking up again about 2 weeks later.... So I started a thread about it and after fiddling with the fuel pump one weekend it started working YET again. So far it's been 1 month and I havent had any problems.

Hope this info helps.

A battery can show 12 volts or over and still be going bad. I t has to deliver enough amps to turn the eingine over. Jump it with another battery in parallel with yours. If it turns over fine then your starter is OK and your battery is starting to go. If it still doesn't turn over then maybe your starter is going. Make sure you check your connections.

your problem is something that can not be diagnosed over the internet.
if you have an FSM then the diagnostic procedures are in there.
Follow them and stop looking for someone to give you a cheap answer out, it costs more in the long run.
