Crazy Headlights

Ok so now im peaved. I have been messing with my headlights for the last couple of weeks and i can't get them fixed. My driver side headlight doesn't work at all. Nothing, no daytime running lights, no lowbeams, no highbeams. The only thing remotely close to a light is the blue high beam light on the dash that comes on, when the car is on. so far ive changed the light harness, and changed the switch twice once with one from the wreckers, and the original that i had pulled appart and cleaned all of the "fingers" inside the switch. If anyone has any ideas please help me, i can't get my car insured until it passes the safety inspection. thanks

ps. i have replace the fuses under the hood by the battery, and but several new bulbs in.

this is so frustrating!!!!!!!!

Assuming you're using stock headlights, here's my suggestions to you...go buy a new harness (9004) and a new bulb...hook the harness up the battery to make sure the socket and bulb work...if this works...hook it up to your existing stock wiring if it doesnt work, then either your headlight stalk, or wiring is bad, or something else...I'm gonna look in my books to see if I can find the "headlight" relay...I'll get back to you

I could be wrong, but I think it's under the hood in the same spot as the headlight fuses? The top of that relay/fuse box should be marked, clearly telling you what is what. Do you not have a Haynes manual? If not - get one - it'll help a lot. (mines at the shop, otherwise I'd check for you)
