how to get amp wire through firewall

ok Im sure that this question has had to been asked quite a few times before but since I cant use the serch I guess Im going to just have to ask it again lol.

I am wiring up an amp in the trunk and I cant find any way to get the power wire (its 8 gauge) through the firewall. in all my other cars there were holes with rubber seals over them and I would just take off the rubber to go through the firewall but the maxima doesnt have any.

what do I need to do?

Thanks for your help, Nathan

Just because you can't search doesn't mean you can't browse through a few pages of old threads. This was on Page 2: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=354010

ehh...might as well answer the question if you're going to post...

you can run it through the hole where your hood release cable goes through the firewall. wished i knew this sooner when i was installing my amp. i drilled through the firewall for my 4 gauge

DO NOT DRILL A HOLE IN YOUR FIRE WALL!!! You don't have to. There is a hole in your fender already. Run your wire through that and then run it through the plastic piece on your floor at the opening of your door.
