VG Tranny
VG Tranny
Hi,
I have a 91 Maxima GXE with auto tranny. I believe this is the VG30E engine and RE4F02A tranny.
My tranny let go, so now i need a used or rebuilt tranny. I'm in New Brunswick Canada so if anyone has one close by or can rebuild the tranny that's in there for a good price let me know.
Thanks

greetings fellow canuck!
the best thing for you to do is find a transmission at a wrecking yard. it's the cheapest way to get your hands on a tranny. you can then have a tranny shop inspect it. keeping it uber cheap would entail you installing the tranny yourself too.
goodluck.

i had my tranny redone by a shop bc i read in my repaire manual that i would have to lift the engine. I thought maybe if i could have gotten it high enough you could just pull that sucker out the bottom. Is this true?
You can find out easy enough by looking at the stickies in this section.
