big *** spoiler

if i was going to take my car to a body shop to take off my spoiler, on average, how much money would it be to like "seal" or "patch" up the holes?

the reason is for my new car that i am thinking about buying. it has a huge racing style universal spoiler on it and i was wondering how much it would be to patch the holes.

hahaha a big spoiler like that is your first sign to not buy the car. some f bag proly beat on that car like you dont believe. Or you could go to the junk yard an find one for like 50 bucks in good shape.

Harv's right, you might as well find another trunk. A good body shop should be able to match paint and the charge to paint it would be the same, regardless if they filled the holes or not. It would probably be cheaper than the $200+ dollars (mostly labor cost) they would charge to fill and smooth the holes, either by welding or bondo. Welding is the best way to go, though.

If it were me, I would probably just get a GXE trunk (no spoiler) and put in SE tail lights, since the foam stock spoilers go to crap, anyway. That, or buy a stock replacement type, but they run about $100+ unpainted on ebay. I don't know if Stillen still has them, but those are $200+ last I recall.

if ur serious its going to crack over time bondo is for fine surface dents and scratches not to be used as a hole filler ur best bet is like i said before find a trunck lid with the same color from a junk yard youll save money and time

in a few months /weeks the bondo will crack and you will back to square one minus the money you spent to have it painted.

hows this idea.... you do it right the first time and have a shop weld the holes shut and not have to worry about it and save time and money of having to do it twice because you didnt d it right the first time?
