VG Tranny Question

I was driving on the highway at 100 mph (after a 200 mile trip) suddenly the tranny engaged into 3rd gear and back to fourth gear with no reason (very fast). It happened 3 times in a two minutes period. Afterwards everything was normal again. The fluid level is OK and in good condition, since I change whatever it drains from the plug every 3000 miles. The tranny does not slip at any gear hot or cold and it does not have any other symptom.
Any hint??

Thanks.

An "I don't have any idea" would suffice.

Gremlins man.. they've invaded your tranny.

Do you have the dropping resistor plugged in and functioning?

If so, then just keep an eye on the tranny and watch for stuff like that to happen again.
If it's not plugged in, then plug it in.

FYI, that's a sign of high line pressure in the tranny. usually that means a slow, expensive death for it. if it does it again, it's definitely a problem and most likely you're going to need a tranny shop to check it out for you.
