sounds like a stupid question but its not. why is my car fast? now i dont mean my car is fast like a corvette lol, but when i race 4th gen and 3rd gen max's i win 9 times out of ten and i cant figure out why. i could validate this but i dont know the people i raced. This one kid has a 94 se auto like mine but hes got the better mothor cuz i have a 91 and i kicked his *** really bad on Deer Park ave here in NY. His car had less then 100k miles and my car has almost 200k miles. I also have raced more then i can count other 3rd gen max's and i always beat them (if there stock). My friend bought a 2004 Honda Accord V6 240hp auto about 7 months ago and i raced him about a month ago from a dead stop. Yes he deffinately won but it wasnt by as much as i thought it would have been. I cant figure it out. The car is completely stock run regular gas(87) and the only mod i did was quad fire spark plugs wich im sure boost the hp but not by that much. Also could somthing be wrong with my car? Me and my friend who has the Accord used his G-tech to test out my car and we ran it 10 times and the worst 0-60 was 9.6 and the best was 7.1 this doesnt make any sence to me. The trannys perfect the car runs great but the car seem to have a mind of its own. I also can beat Acura RSX 200hp, Acura Integra's, ran with a honda civic si 1 time. Its flippin crazy i think. anyway i sware im not lying, i know how this could sound!

 

Oh and the car has a mild exhaust leak and need a timing belt.

Are you sure that they are racing?

 

me doubts it... 7.1sec 0-60 is pretty slow, i gots 5.8sec with only a y-pipe.... then again it is a VE.

The kills you are claiming are literally impossible for a basically stock VG auto. The simplest explanation is that they were not racing.

 

I second that belief. My only kills were a 94 Civic Si, 89 CRX, 90 Civic Hatch, and a 96 V6 Accord Vtec. All of these were pretty much easy except for the accord. The only reason why I won was because my 1st gear top end just pulled the hell out of him and I was easily two car lengths from the start.

BTW I think you're BSing about taking a VE auto even if you have a five speed you'll still get your **** handed to you.
