No reverse lights help!!
Its easy, on a 5speed car anyway. I had to change it on my Max right when I got it.
On my Maxima, near the front drivers side of the trans(IIRC...), there is a roundish thing with wires coming off of it held in place by a single 10mm bolt.
Undo said bolt, pry out the roundish thing, and prepare to get hit with 5 quarts of foul-smelling manual trans fluid (You should replace this while you're working under here. This was also a good excuse for me to switch over to Redline fluid
)
Unplug old one.
Now, install the new one, put in trans fluid, and you're done! Took me no time to do the switch, but adding the fluid took quite a bit longer.
Oh, and the part was 55 bucks for me at partsamerica.com . You might want to check to see if internetautomar has em at his site for less.
