Removing The Taillight Housing

I've asked a couple of guys and they said they didn't know. I've tried to search on google and it didn't work, so I am going to post it.

How do you remove the taillight? I've pulled the carpet back and I saw 3 bolts, but when I loosened them, the taillight didn't pull out. And I didn't want to pry it because I know I would end up being stupid and breaking something.

Thanks in advanced.

the FSM says to use a heat gun, because of a butyl seal.

there's a pic.. note the gooey black crap around it. that stuff is used as a weather seal to keep water out of the trunk. you can just keep pushing on the light and it will come out, or you can use a heat gun and warm it up and push it out. it's just the black goo holding it in.

you'll definately need to heat it up to get them out. in the summer they'll pull out but it's too cold now.
be sure to have some goo gone handy to clean up the sealant around the tailights. but take it off the tailights but if it gets onto the bumper, trunk or rear quarter panel, you'll need goo gone to get the crap off.
