if you hear the motor churning and its not going up and down, then its the mast that has been stripped (the teeth that the motor grabs onto to raise and lower the antenna)

you can get a universal one off ebay for like $30 or one from autozone for like $50.

do you have an aftermarket stereo? Or if you have the stock Bose radio, then it might have been unplugged.

well then (if all for you plugs are truly plugged in) it sounds like your motor is completly dead... suggestion = replace entire motor... dunno if internetautomar has any up for sale...? but you can get replacement ones online or at a local napa or autozone if all else fails (though since they do not carry a specific motor just for our max. they are a last resort)...

what do u need ur antenna for anyway? i got a clarion head unit, the antenna doesnt go up either, but it doesnt bother me at all, the radio works perfectly anyway, and no atenna makes the car look cleaner... thats my opinion at least... so if ur radio works fine, i dont think u should bother

it also depends on where you live and what you listen to. Some radio stations have stronger radio signals, if you live in a hilly or mountain type area then you def need an antenna.

I was wondering about options, i don't want a power antenna anymore, anything that i can put in the broken power antennas place that will look right, something black maybe. Will just anyhting from autozone work?
