Engine Swap...
I know this is a crazy question but need to find out. I don't know if it has ever been done. I've sent my vg head to get ported and polished. I'm goin to order the cams and some other stuff. With that said I will get to the point. I bought a 94 se for like $500 the body is in great shape, but the engine has 221,000 miles and it's not that great. My question is that being that I sent the engine to get worked on, Is there any way possible for a vg engine to fit in a ve body? I have the manual tranny for it as well. I really don't want to lose the engine i'm workin on. Guy Let me know.

Why would you wanna do something crazy like that?? Although the bodies are the same, that (and no disrespect to ANY VG owners) would be more of a "downgrade" than an upgrade.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but you're saying that you want to take a VE (190hp) engine out and put in a VG (160hp) engine? Or am I reading what you're proposing the wrong way??
In any case, it's feasable that you CAN do it, but the engine harness will be your first issue you'll need to resolve. I'm fairly certain that the VG and VE do NOT share this point of contact. Stuff like engine mounts, accessory location points, etc... might be different, but not by much, IMHO.
My *honest* suggestion would be to keep the VG and use it as a 'project' car - to try different things/ideas, and get the VE engine worked on.
Of course, this is all dependant on your monetary status, storage room/space, and other factors... but hopefully, you see what I'm talking about....
Food for thought... do the dishes!

This is really your dillema. I doubt that you are going to wring out more power from the VG than you could have with a VE (without some kind of forced air induction on the VG). However, you are partway through a rebuild that will probably insure many years of a trouble free engine and more power than a stock VG.
I would decide one way or another: keep the old car or fix the VE. I wouldn't mess with trying to put the VG into the VE car. Not worth the time and headache, IMO. Personally, I would sell all of your VG stuff and get into the VE, but I am biased...
You start out with more hp, plus a VLSD and you still have the ability to mod a VE for even greater gains. I don't think any N/A VG is going to reach 15 seconds in the quarter mile. There are several modded VEs in the 14s and most with just a few bolt ons reach the low 15s. If you are proud of your work and not that into the performance part, keep your VG.

The guy I bought my first parts car did this swap. he chain or something came off and tore his VE up. He said he didnt like the motor and would never have a VE again so he got a donor car (what became my parts car) with a VG and did the swap. When I was there he had it running but not right yet. It wasnt nice and smooth but I dont think he had finished the wiring yet. He was a nice guy and knowledgable but I still dont understand why he wanted to put a VG auto in place of a VE 5spd (he gave me the 5spd too btw).

I would like to thank you guys for your opinion. I just needed to know if it can be done. Any way the car that I bought had engine problems and stalled really bad so I took the car back and got my $ back. I was lucky that I knew the dude that worked there. I looked in the paper today and saw a 92 se manual for $950 so I checked it out. The car has a bad clutch gold w/ black leather int. i checked out the engine and it sound good gut couldn't drive it. It has 174,000 miles on it. body is pretty good but the inside was in great shape. Now I thought about what you guys said and with help of my cousin I got the car. I got it for $700 and had to tow it to my mech to get the clutch put on. So I'm in with the ve and hope you guys can help me wit some input on it. I'm goin to do some research on some stuff. So again thanks....
