maybe you can remove the glass and use it as a mold to fabricate a fiberglass piece to replace the glass

no one makes cf trunks for 3rd gens

Not to sounds rude, but wouldn't it be easier to just turn up the boost on your turbo kit than try and drop weight by making something silly like a carbon fiber sunroof?

joking aside... you can always go a bit "extreme" and still keep the car street legal.

the spare tire/jack and "well" weighs about 60 lbs (depending on how much u cut out). all the insulation under the carpet is 40 lbs (according to matt) the 28 pound counter weight in the back of the car, Replace the seats with some racing one.. maybe 40lbs total lost there.. the hood is 70 lbs (i think).... and u could cut all the frame work out underneath it or replace it with a carbon one.

220 lbs... thats alot of weight!... about 20 hp worth according to the "every 10 lbs is 1 hp" theory... but i dont believe it

isnt it "0.1sec in the 1/4 mi. per 10lbs" weight saving? not "every 10 lbs is 1 hp"

I still dont see eitherone making that significant amount of difference. Just boost the performance, and except that the car weighs a certain amount.

accept, accept that the car weighs a certain amount

if he wants to lighten it why not? you're just all jealous that he can beat you

yeah, this is about making the car lighter to go faster.. not making the car faster to go faster, that would be crazy...

but... the fastest street cars are all about power to weight ratio, if a vg weighed 1500 lbs is would be fast as hell

i know... thats why i would like to stuff the 4.6L V8 into the Ford Focus or the Mazda Miata, and then turbo or SC ontop of that....

but i still accept that as a daily driver there are certain amounts of things i can accept as standard.

Does anybody know if it is possible to polish a windshield?
(One I have on Maxima is original one ... with too many-many marks on it)

I know there is some "optical" effect - that's why I shouldn't even try doing it myself. But are there any shops who would do it? And how much does it cost?

Or ... replace it? - sounds expensive ...
