hella fog lights

UPDATE!! just went and took off these dinky *** fog lights i had on my old subaru long time ago, and on my max... and replaced with some Hella 550 H3 foglights. They are a little bit wider than the stock fog lights, but not much, and almost look the same....but in my opinion, they look cleaner than the stock fog lights, and alot brighter...they are brighter than my stock headlights, which will be e36 by spring... When I get my girlfriend to bring my the digi camera i will take some pics, it looks clean, and will be nicer when i get my body kit in the spring too, gonna mold them into the front of the kit. Also I did Craig's (THANKS CRAIG!http://www.geocities.com/bracecraig/...ax_rewire.html) rewire on the foglights and corners. Now my foglights come on with my corner lights, and my corner lights on are bright all the time...took me 2 hours to do all of that, my first time.
Just wanted to let everyone know how excited and happy about the install I am .

hella 550 are really nice lights. And lenses are made of glass, which also means that they wouldn't fade out with time.

BUT I think they ARE more "off-road" lights rather then "street".
Whenever I use 'em on my truck, I blind all the cars infront of me.
Other then that, they are perfect.

BTW, check links for pictures you have posted

It looks to me like they extend down farther than the stock lights. I would like them out here in the boonies, but rrrfoma is probably right -- they aren't really a street kind of foglight like some small PIAAs or Catz. Most people that replace stock fogs get something smaller.

You need to just go all the way and get some KC Daylighters

they hang down probably 1/2" lower than stock, due to the mounting bracket it comes with....I plan on getting them mounted into my body kit this spring so it will look more stock, The visibility I gain from these are unbelieveable, I still need to adjust them right so when im on a slight incline or somethin im not blinding other drivers.
The reason I chose this light is because it almost looks stock...its square and almost the exact same demensions as stock, but look better due to the glass cover and are extremely brighter.
I always see cars driving around with bright *** blinding headlights and sometimes foglights, and it amazes me they probably never get tickets or warnings or they just have got lucky so far. Im trying to get more light so i can see easier...when its raining and really dark out...my stock setup just doesn't cut it, and its a safety issue...but I try to be courteous to other drivers by making them so they aren't pointing in their eyes.

I think that they are those bright a** lights that people mount on the roll bar of their off-road trucks.

Yeah, KCs are for off roading, my friend has one on his jeep and he didn't tell me he was turning them on when I was looking at them. The next thing I know I see spots everywhere for a couple min. But he's goin to let me off road the beast, what he calls it, next week

KC lites are mostly for off-roading, but they make street lights (BTW, I have 'em on my Maxima). And hear this ... they give 27 year warranty on lights AND BULBS (!!!).

These (low profile) come with 3 pairs lenses (fog, clear and driving):

BTW, if anybody interested - I have 2 pairs of lights wire harness (insulated) for sale. Switch itself looks like a wired remote control and can be mounted anywhere (see picture). $10 each plus shipping.

those ramps are for balancing (not 23 or 30 degree ramps)

... 3 pairs of hella lights + 1 pair of flood lights (really like spot lights) +1 pair of backup lights = total 5 pairs
... and strobe lights are coming (very helpfull when stuck somewhere at night time ... and battery is about to die ... - happens when go alone on a trail)
