old suspension thread
Im sure ill get hell for this, but does anyone have a link to the discussion about what suspension setup people have liked and used. i know there was one awhile back that people discussed about koni vs tokicos vs kyb gr2s.
i cant search because i dont donate because im broke
anyway kyb are cheap, is that for a reason, ie they suck? konis are not cheap, so i was just wondering if anybody has thrills to say about their tokicos or kyb gr2?
im going with an eibach drop 1.2
anyway about that thread, i guess it would be nice for it to be a sticky icky icky.

gotcha... Go witht he Toks over the GR2. theyr'e a bit stiffer and provide a better ride on the firmer springs. they also have lifetime warranty, so be sure to keep your receipts in the case they wear out or start leaking...

-I have and tokicos, not to much movment, o.k. ride quality, but feel great when cornering. yeah like matt said save ur receipts, because when i got my struts (2nd hand) one rear was dead. But even though the proper paper work was sent back with the strut, they still didn't replace it for free, becuase of a small mark that was left on the tippy top of the shaft during instaltion, this mark voided the warranty... so be careful
-im sure the konis are worth every penny. all 50,000 of um
- dont feel bad about not donating... i don't...hehe jk

i just wanna know how much worse lowering springs and new struts will make the ride quality. Does every little bump jar the whole car, or is it not that bad.....I just wanna know cuz I might keep my suspension for later on down the road

well, I'm 17, about to go to college next year, and after buying all this, I'm only left with about $1500. I'm gonna need that money later on. So, I have decided its not worth the money for a car this old. I want to get as much back for them as possible.

my struts on my car are shot now, so any upgrade to non-working is gonna rock.

go with koni...one of my tokicos blew in a month and i didnt drive over any bumpy roads. I got the other shock for free so im happy, these shocks are not that bad
but i would like a set of coilovers with adjustable height and damping for these 3rd gens.

I've got Eibachs and GR2s. I havnt really had a chance to put it throught eh twisties, but it feels MUCH more controlled than wil 15 year old struts and springs. It's stiffer, but it's still a pretty comfortable daily driver.

well, i finally decided on intrax because i want a little bit more of a drop than the eibachs. And i decided to go with the Tokicos. who knows when they will get installed, but when i do ill post pics, thanks to everyone with their opinions, I know this topic comes up once a month, but i couldnt remember what people went with.
