Clutch pedal freeplay

My clutch engages almost immediately off the floor. The pedal has what seems like excessive freeplay, also.
What is the spec for freeplay and is the adjustment at the pedal or the slave cylinder?

Check your fluid level.....Also,the system might have air in the line, bleeding the system might help.

Fluid level is good. It doesn't feel like air in it. If it did it wouldn't return after pushing it down, right?

I'll bleed it out anyway, I have a power bleeder that I use on the 944 that works great.
