Whirring?

I wrote a thread previously about a whirring that i hear when I hit the gas... Its back again. i have no idea what this can be... I have checked for loose hoses and things of that nature and no luck. People said exhuast studs. But i dont think that that is it being that this is a new engine does anyone have an idea what this could be? It happens when i hit the gas at a light or in traffic off a stop. It will start when i let off the gas and press again it doesnt make the sound anmore. this was not happeneing before in the summer. In July of 04 i got new engine and tranny put in ... the tranny and engine run like a champ. it sounds like its coming form the passenger side of engine bay... Isnt the power steering on the drivers side?

As Far as the wheel bearing goes. I also changes lower ball joints about 2 mnths ago... bought them off the net. They are bad i hear sqeaking now i learned my lesson..straight dealer now on suspension parts.

Tranny was a rebuilt from another car and the engine was a direct import from Japan. Had about 64k It was cleaned and whatever needed minor things was also done. I think that i also got power driving replaced during summer when engine was put in...Cant remember ill check paperwork. Also so the wheel Bearing can cause this? No work was done to steering anything. i would like to check it out if possible.

ok so i wouldn't say the engine was new at 64K on it.
also i wouldn't consider the tranny as being new because it's a rebuilt.
when you say NEW it throws me off on what might be wrong.

wouldn't hurt to check steering...if you want remove the PS belt and drive a little (i stress a little) and see if you hear it..but i some how doubt it's the steering because you only hear the noise when you hit the gas. if it's the PS pump then you'll hear it all the time or when you turn the wheel...doesn't matter when you hit the gas. also check if they replaced the belt tensioners when the motor was swapped out.
