Loose Hose

Sorry for asking another noob question but Im waiting on my FSM..

I was hanging out in my engine bay the other day when I noticed, I guess it was on top of the transmission case, a metal looking nipple with a hose coming out of it. One side of the hose was attatched to the metal peice and the other side of the hose was just loose laying there.. I recently replaced all 6 injectors and had a tune-up done. I hope the son of a gun that worked on my car didn't miss that hose by accident. I have a picture, but I don't understand how to attatch. Wants me to type some stuff in. Im gonna try to type in the file name into that http thing.. Hope it works.

I bet you found the transmission vent hose. {if you have manual transmission,i think the auto trans does not have the hose..not sure?} The hose just vents gases produced by the gear oil when it heats up.
