im about to drop my car 1 1/2" this spring, but that don't help you. I personally wouldn't go any lower than 1 1/2", im sure the pro's will chime in soon

eibachs are 1.2" and from other guys photos it looks noticeable...I think it stands out better if you have rims too. looks cleaner too.

I wouldn't go any lower than Eibachs. Even eibachs can be a small pain to drive since you can still scrape on those curbs infront of parking spots and on my driveway with a rounded curb thing a ma bob.

meh...as Shawn would say.

Dont know what people have against low cars. I love my Intrax and to me the drop is perfect. Its probably a little low for someone that lives in a bigger city and has to drive the car daily but I would still do it .

Eibachs are very nice too and are actually the best performing springs. I had Eibachs first but sold them for Intrax.

If you have the 16" 2002 wheels then I have a friend that has the same wheels with an Eibach drop. It looks really good and will give you an idea how nice it will look. Here is a pic...its not the best but the best I could find:

i love my intrax...i drive around in a small city and some really bad country roads and i still like them...the drop looks perfect...i dont think eibachs are low enough...but it is your decision in the end...look on cardomain at some maxima pages and see which you think looks best

I've got the Eibachs, I think they are rated for 1.2 or 1.5 inches drop. The ride is rather firm but not jarring or anything. Never had a problem with scraping, although I've hit the bumpstops once or twice when I was being stupid.

The handling, even with a broken rear sway bar, stock size tires, and 15 year old brushings, is amazing compared to stock.

eibach is the way to go. i drove my friends mx6 with intrax and i really didnt like the ride. my setup is eibach with kyb's. its a stiff ride but it handles like a dream. let me see if i can upload some pictures.

LOL you do realize that the Intrax for an MX6 and for the Maxima are going to be totally different right? I am sure the spring rates etc. are totally different. I have had both Eibach and Intrax and the difference isnt enough for me to say I like the ride of one over the other. I just like the look of the Intrax over the Eibach. Like I said though Eibach is the best performing spring anyway and that is what most want from our cars.

You really cant compare how a certain spring feels on another totally different car to what it will be like on the Maxima though.

man, all these "code" talks about "dropping" and what not, come around my block, we got pot holes on main streets that will kill just about any shocks in less than a month. Oh, we ride on curbs around here also, stoopid **** would just park and talk right in the middle of the street, so yeah, a drop would be nice looking, but I think I prefer the stock spacings and height, since there *is* a need for it

i like how mizeree_x or how ever you spell his sn sits and its a eibach 1.2 drop. I am buying the intrax 1.7 drop off a guy here on the org. I decided on the intrax because of what awsm66 had to say about his drop. I cant wait to get some rims come march/april on my bday. then my ride will be off the heezy for sheezy.

jeah!

whatever man I have had both. I had Eibach and now I have Intrax. My kidneys are just fine and I am an old man lol. I like my Intrax better than I liked my Eibach. Thats my opinion and everyone has their own.

Anyway I dont know why I feel a need to defend a stupid spring and I want because it will turn childish (example of post above). If you want a good performing "low" but nice and even drop then get Intrax.

If you want the best performing but not as low (but still good looking) then get Eibach.

Its that simple no need to argue about your spring choice because its all a personal opinion.

edit: because I turned it personel...didnt want that.

I've got Suspension Technique springs. Seems like not a lot of people go with them around here? They're excellent for drop, but are total crap for handling. I think I might switch them out to Eibach's. I feel like I'm driving a Honduh when I'm going down a regular road. Today, I took the Max out in the first snow and heard my exhaust hitting every pile of snow under me!!

right know my car is on the floor with know springs cause I went old school and cut them but I've destroyed my cv joint so I want to go the right way about droping it ??

Hell, if anything I would expect the lowering springs to be easier on the CV joints due to the decreased angle from the hub to the tranny.

Cutting springs is BAD BAD BAD. It may look nice and low, but it will ride and handle like crap and will be unsafe.
