zack342 ...she didn't like the black grey?

ummm - She really didn't have much of a choice *I* didn't like it. Besides, take a look at the original interior ( http://www.brockbr.com/MaximaProject ) - Given how it looked when I bought it I wanted to make sure that the "new" stuff didn't look anything like that!

That car was so nasty that it was left unlocked, with the keys in the ignition, *running*, in Compton, and no-one stole it.

...you get the idea

Next time you're around in AL, let me know. BTW, email me @ brockbrc@brockbr.com - I've got a question to ask.

Speaking of Dangerfield - That's how I feel about this forum - No respect Here I post all these pics etc and am an active member and I'm still "Newbie" status?

'Course I think the magic number is 30, which is what this post should be. If so, I shouldn't have anything to complain about

[edit]
Nope - Dammit - Still a newbie

Well here's a list of NON RICE sounding exhaust. Internetautomar sells most of them

Ravin
Magnaflow
Flowmaster
Greddy (not quite sure on though)

And also I see that she is in AIR FORCE ROTC. Dang I've been in active duty enlisted for almost 4 years now, and her ribbon rack has twice as many ribbons as mine. But that will change here within the next couple of months.

I'm sure she she makes you proud. Great job on the car, love the color. Now you just have to go out and start building on your son's maxima... LOL

First off, thanks for all you do.

We are very proud of her - She is A honor roll, taking all honors classes. She plays in the band, and is in ROTC. She also does volunteer work.

Here she is in the cockpit of a KC135

This is a picture SHE took of an F16 Falcon during refueling...

She gives 125% in all that she does - We push her and her siblings very hard. In order for her to understand what it means to do it right, I have to show her what is possible. The car is just one way of doing that.

She is worth every minute of time, and every penny spent to make it hers.

[edit] I do have a high res version of the F16 pic if anyone wants it

Trust me, with as much time as I had her spend on it with me, and with a solid agreement between her & I that she doesn't allow anyone else to drive it (including and most specifically boyfriends), I don't have anything to worry about.

And no, I'm not being naive - When she says it she means it.

Well send her my best regards. And tell her this for me. "It's a adventure being in the military. Enjoy everything while you can."

Great work on the car. Maybe I should send you mine, maybe then everything will get done to it that I want done. Between work, the family, and the deploying, I don't have much time to work on it... LOL

Nice pictures and Hats off to you for taking to time to do something like this for your kid. i Think its even more special because you invested your time. I am sure with your final cost you could have bought a better condition car but i think she will be very greatful for years to come.

Yeah on the older models (89,90 etc) the cloth was actually black instead of dark grey. My 90 GXE had this cloth and my 89SE parts car did as well (but different stitching pattern obviously).

Aother thing about first couple of years of the 3rd gen is that the accents (head liner, a,b,c interior pillars and door inserts) were actually black too instead of grey like the later models. That is how my 90 was at least.

One of the reasons they probably changed it was because the material would fade and look purple. My seats were not but my A pillar cloth had turned purple looking from sun fade.

My headliner isn't black, but i have an 89 se. My seats are still in pretty good condition, very little fade. My car has also been garage kept for almost its whole life.
