custom mounts for rear/front speakers

Hey my dad and i spent 6 hours between christmas day and today on sawing and drilling a mount for my rear speakers, the amps were bad on the bose, so we just replaced those with a pair of audiobahn speakers (dam things are clear and have a ton of bass!!!!), 6x9, it looks awesome, i'll get some pics this week, we're also putting a pair of 6.5 fosgates in the front, we're removing the bose speakers, and grill, we're going to have someone cut a piece of steel with the correct dimensions for the speaker and hole (my dad works lasers at his company so its free) and mount them in that way, plus paint the metal black. Hopefully this weekend i'll have it all done and in with pics to prove it all. Oh yea, i got a kenwood x979 cd player for christmas, bad @$$!!!!!!!

are you going to leave the grills off when u put the speakers back on? if whoever is drawing up the flats for the laser is any good you might ask them about etching something like a design or something into the metal using the laser just to give it a sweet custom look. laser etching looks sweet if it is drawn up properly, though i'm not sure whether painting over it would cover it up.

well the rear had small holes so we have to cut that, and in the front we're going to use the fosgate grills, it should end up looking awesome! I'll try to get the pictures asap
