oh no, it was some 16 year old kid that hit me while driving....he took a left turn onto the main street as i was going straight down it...booom...dented my **** and ****ed my rim I had for 2 days.
I got all the info and a police came and gave me a report #...already talked to his ins co and they getting a claim agent to call me within 2 days. so they are going to pay for, a new rim, or to have mine refinished, and to get that dent out and touch up paint. wonder what kind of money im about to get, ima do the work myself and have my uncle help me, he works on car bodies and stuff....

my suggestion on the dent is to get a price from a PDR guy. I think that would be cheaper than pulling and painting. I am just not sure how big a dent a PDR guy can fix or if that dent is creased (hard to tell in the pics or its too early in the morning for me).
For the wheels. Take them and make sure they arent bent. If they arent then just have them refinished or try to rub out the scratches with rubbing compound.

take the insurance company for all you can and get it fixed right. maybe try to get those expensive lug nuts paid for in the process. good luck. i dont mean take them in a bad way, but get your car fixed right, i know when a lady hit me once, i got a quote for just a new bumper, but i wasnt happy, since the bumper tore into the paint, i got a better quote and ended up makin about 100 bucks getting a high quote and getting it fixed for cheaper.

I had an 82 subaru that got backed into on the front right door. it left a dent the size of a baseball... I got $815 for it...I bought the car for $800...Im hoping they come look at my car and be like...well besides where this ******* hit him, this car was mint, and that new rim there needs to be replaced. And to top it off, I made sure to let his insurance company know that my g/f back is now hurting I should be getting a check for at least over $800 for the body and rim damages...who knows how they handle my g/f back problem

Just got back from tire shop...Had my wheels all re-aligned, my back left wheel got knock out of alignment by 2 degrees...not much you say? my car was bouncing all over the road, it was bad and you could even look at the tire and tell it was pigeon toed. Anyways so far the damage is $76.11 not including the dent or the rim re-finished/replace.....will let you guys know what happens with this guys insurance co. He is trying to claim that i switched lanes into the lane he was turning in....I still had the right away no matter what cause he was coming out of a parking lot.

Here is another dumb kid story. Back in '98 I was driving my '97 Pathfinder SE home from my lab at 3am. I was on a poorly lit two lane highway (and yes, I was "bit" sleepy), and I see something like a black thing crawling across the road in the distance. I honked (knowing that headlamps paralize animals in fear) and it seemed to slow down. As I was trying to pass it on the right (still sleepy as heck), the thing starts to roll faster and then I realize it's a black '91-'92 camry with limo tinted windows and black aftermarket rims with no headlights or parking lights on.
I crashed into it at about 25MPH, and AMAZINGLY, my airbags did not deploy. I was fine, but my car looked more than totalled.
It turns out, the kid was driving from upsate NY to NYC and he was running low on gas. He decided to try to make it to the gas station just before George Washington Bridge. About 7-10 miles still north, he ran out of gas. The idiot decided to try to push his car (nearest gas station was in my town, still 2 mi away UP HILL) and he was trying to push it ACROSS A HIGHWAY behind a "hill". As I came over the hill, he saw the headlamp and then decided to bolt and leave his car rolling...
To make long story even longer, the insurance said that since I must have been dozing, and he didn't leave his parking lights on, that neither party can be blamed, so our companies will cover the respective damages (what?!? Idiot pushing his blacked-out car with no lights across a highway isn't to be blamed!?!?!).
I tried to get total loss, but because airbags didn't deploy, they refused. In the end, I had new:
radiator, radiator support, new headlamps corners, grill, both fenders, hood, left control arm and new steering rack. Not to mention time on frame pulling machine. The body shop guy told me that he charged the insurance $14K!!! WTF!?!? He also took 3 months to finish my car, and only after I threatened to call BBB, he "finished" my car. And to think, this shop was RECOMMENDED by my insurance company (Statefarm)... And when I get my car back, I find that the driver's wheel is missing a 1/2in chunk out of the alloy. two months later, the passenger side strut bushings rupture, snapping the strut from friction. Dealer and insurance both say that this was not "abnormal" and that insurance won't cover it through the accident... I drove it until Feb '00. after years of problems with the car, I traded it in for a '01 Pathfinder LE. The dealer knowing the history gave me $7500 for my '97 which had MSRP of almost $30K 3 years ago...
Moral of the story? You don't have to take the insurance for a ride, but because they will do everything to not payout, you need to be on your toes...

crazy story. my dad is an agent for state farm. the adjuster gave him i think $6900 for my mother's 91 se when i totalled it in feb of 2000. had 93,000 miles on it. i bought my 91 se with 87,000 miles, a couple months ago for $2,800. i'd say state farm came though, or maybe i got a good deal on my car, who knows. state farm has handled my claims pretty well though. a couple break-ins/thefts.
btw, i can't even see the damage in those pics

ya there was no lights at all. I had the go aahead like veryone else to be going down that busy road, this kid thought he had a moment to get out of that parking lot and he went for it and hit me....anyways, im sure I will get what I need. The damage on the body isn't bad at all...but it still wasn't there before the kid hit me...and also those rims were 2 days old and the paint on the one is all messed up. also had to get all of my wheels re-aligned because of it. The case is still pending. If they let this go and say it wasn't his fault, I got this kids address...muahahahaha

And Im taking my car to a shop to have them fix the rim...re-finish it...so that way they send the bill to his insurance company, and also I give them my receipt for the alignment I had to get down, and the re imburst me for that... So I should be getting about $880 and my wheel will look like new again. I think im going to pocket the 800bucks and worry about the dent later. In the summer maybe Ill get a kit and bondo all the dents out and shave the door strips and get all the dents out of my car, and repaint it a brilliant bright white.( not pearl white) so its easy to match if my car gets hit again.

damn man i got 1800 for the same type damage, but mines on the door side. It looked worse than it was on my rims tho because some rubber came off on the rims from the ladys bumper. Case in point goto Classic Collision they are expensive and know how to write a quote!

Im going to live with the scratches on my rim since oyu cant see them unless your looking and are up close, and the dent...I can hammer out a lil to make it look better, its not that bad in the first place. This summer maybe, my uncle said we could put my car in his garage and go to town on it. We are going to remov every little dint, ding, scratch, put a body kit on it. take off the door strips, maybe fill it it, then repaint the entire car a nice brilliant white( i want to stay away from pearl white since if it gets hit again its hard to match) Until then. Im $800 richer, and now im waiting on income tax. should be at least over $1500 woot
