Trunk Cargo Net
I used to think they were worthless, but now with my new job and having to carry around stuff/paperwork, I would really like to get one. I often have 4 people in my car so the whole passenger/rear seat office trick isnt going to work anymore
However the fun twisty road to work does not seem to see eye to eye with my binders/etc that I keep in my trunk
Anyone have one/know where to get one?

I don't believe we have hooks to hook one up
You could try this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...346724512&rd=1

I'd love to get a cargo net too, and I've seen them (made by Bell... the helmet company?) locally for about $10 US but as said I wouldn't know where to mount them, and the sticky pads they supply wouldn't work too great either....

just thought that was funny lol
hmm. I know the 5th gen had some mounts in the trunk. I dunno, I suppose I'll take a look at the trunk and see what we can do. I remember wanting one a while ago with my black car, I was always affraid to put stuff in the trunk because of the subs I had
Cananadaland = fun btw

I've seen a trunk net on other cars, and its basically hung in place by two hooks, so maybe you can purchase two hooks with the screw base, drill two small holes right above the lights and have your nets up

why dont you just get a box and put that in the trunk, and you could put the binders and stuff in a box. or you could just do what everyone else said. i carry a box that had reams of paper in it for my tools and what not, including papers and what not. just seemed easier to carry into the apartment that way.
or just fedex the binders where ever you are going next. i mean they are quick with delivery..... not really, i cant back that up.

I have two nets somewhere and the hooks (somewhere). I kept the net from my first Maxima and there was one on my current car. When I mounted my amp, I took out the net and the hooks. That was almost two years ago, so it might take me a while to find anything.

Maybe a bit of trivia but I remember that there was a photo in the 89 max brochure
of the standard net and offered a good view of the mounting locations.

I know Jason F (OG maxima.org guy with 90SE) put a 4th gen net in his car and just screwed into the trunk lining and that worked fine for him. This was back in 98 or 99 I think.

I have had two 92 SEs and both came with Nissan cargo nets. My first was only a couple years old when I bought it, so I am sure it wasn't from a 4th gen. My brother bought my red car and it was 100 percent stock (except for the pinstripes) and it had a cargo net, too.
Crap, now I am going to have to wade through the snow to the garage and find them...

Just a thought...
Try to buy one from pep boy's. They're real cheap. I did mine w/the tail light mounting points. I simply unbolted it than inserted the hook-ups. It takes a beating and keeps on tickin. Also, try to clean off the mounting surface w/acetone. I makes the adapters fit better.
Good luck all,
Matt

I found three hooks and one of the nets. I think the other net is packed away in a box somewhere and I have no idea where the fourth hook is. My garage is a mess. The hooks have a part number on the back of them. If someone is dying to have the PN, then send me a PM.
This is what the hook looks like and a corner of the net:

Very interesting... I wonder if there are factory mounting points somewhere for that, or if there have to be holes drilled. Can you remember how they attached through the felt lining or where?
Why not post up the PN.... you never know if it might be useful someday.

there is a spot (actually four, duh) that they screw right into. I know for sure because both of my Maximas had them. I don't know where that is now because I took out all of the interior panels to my trunk except the carpet and the panel behind the seat. Tomorrow I will grab one of the hooks and post the part number if I can remember.

Hey guys check this out:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting
I know the description and the label says 2000 and up, but if I didn't know any better, I'd swear that the car in the picture is a 3rd gen...
Maybe Nissan did have an optional trunk net, and maybe they never updated the picture for the nets (hence the 3rd gen on the pic).

plus I keep tools in my car, a box on the floor in the back seat used to work great, but now that i keep them in my trunk they like to slide around all over the place and such
good idea though, I dont know why our cars didnt come with them stock. Then again I have a feeling if it did i would find wrappers and crap in them lol.
