#6 injector wide open

I've been having a problem for awhile with #6 getting constant ground. I swapped motors because my old one decided to shear the crank snout off behind the timing gear. car was running fine no problems. Drop the new motor in and while testing and trying to figure out why it was running like *** #6 was wide open and dumped half a tank in 10 minutes and set the exhaust on fire and leaked 2 quarts past the rings. So now I swap the entire fuel rail from the old motor on the new one (junk yard complete) and still #6 constant ground. swap ecus still wide open. swap temp sensor still wide open. break the wiring down to the fire wall no breaks nothing, move every peice of the harness I can grab and the noid light never went off. swapped the vaccum solinoids under the iac still wide open. swapped FPR and still wide open. I'm out of ideas and out of clues. Any help would be awsome

it appears that it's grounding out on something along the way, look for a pinched wire.
that's my best guess

I've run all the wire back, no breaks. can I run a new wire from the ecu straight to the injector? Or will it cahnge the ohm load?

unplug the ECU , check for continuity to the body ground on the harness at the pin for that injector

It will be okay. The thicker, the better. Original wires are anemic... Btw, while on that business, do this to all inj wires,, I bet there is a difference in response.
