Few questions...

1st

What can anyone tell me about the level ten tranny upgrade for our rides ? I saw it in a pic on turbo maxima. I couldn't PM the guy so I figured I would ask on here is anyone knew anything.

2nd

I'm getting head work done by a friend of mine who has his own machine shop. Here's what he is setting me up with..: P&P,valve angle job, springs, coated valves, new guides,I think he said decked too..oh and a nifty GM orange paint job all for $700 bucks...is that a good deal or average ?

3rd

I need some upliftin advice right now...moms just found out she has colon cancer. They say that cought it early so there is hope. Only thing is money is tight and her benifits from her job don't kick in for another three months. And her colon started bleeding heavily today and her stomache is swollen REALLY bad(liek she's 6 months due). But there is nothing she can do..no insurance or anything and here in florida health care is a joke. Can't take time off cause she hasn't been on her new job long enough. I got to balance taking care of mom,my car,and my girl who just got out the hospital about two days ago. It's alot to only be 17. So I could use as much advice as possible right now from anyone who can relate...I don't mean to vent it just kinda came out.....

my advice is don't worry about #1 or #2
take # 3 and RUN to the ER and then talk to welfare, social sevices etc. in the AM. there are federal programs in place to help in such situations, not too mention it is a violation of law to deny ANYONE treatment in an ER.

No no,we have an apointment next week at the doc for something colon related. The state only pays for two visits. The first was something the doctor had a hunch about and went with by telling my mom to go to another specialist(he was there to supervise)..and that's when she found out. She already left for work for tonight(works nights). But can't really afford to do otherwise for the moment....So we are looking into all that. I just don't want to think the worst, you know ?

unless you know that the swelling isn't internal bleeding I stand by my ER recommendation.

2 as already said, good price
3 as already said, u live only once. Do whatever u can, dont believe one doctor. Get best treatment. Dont spare expenses, world is full of money and doctors, care about the money later. People die from sickness, not on loans taken... do not hesitate, hurry.

Uplifting for me means turning upt to Him that created us as eternal beings. He loves his creations, allowing situations where one has only one possibility left: to cry help, as all earthly help melted away. Hearing well wishes from mankind is good, but if they cannot help, it will stay hollow. Once I 'was put' in a impossible situation just to stop me, to search for help, and to find Him out. Btw, he has lived as he speaks: Pat Robertson rtsp://sm2.cbn.org/archive/011005.rm

1. NOw's not a good time.
2.Good eal but not a good time.
3.This is your priority, mom's are non-replaceable. If I was making too much money for welfare or medicade, I'd get the bills after everything is taken care of and work it out. PM I'll be praying for her. FWd your PM to wiking also. Note: Great things happen when hard times come, have some faith. (Not the I can go light a candle at a church and everything will be cool kind) But the 'God I know your bigger than this' kind.

You can handle it, just work it out. Get her to a doc, get the charges, and keep persuing medicade.

all this going on in your life and you have time to even THINK about turboing your maxima?? ....ummm okay

I truly hope your mother gets better, but why did you even have to bring the whole thing about your mom to the table in a post like this AFTER asking the turbo questions?? wow...just seems so uncalled for and disrespectful IMO...good luck with everything.

Seems familiar. Be it funeral or whatever, gotta go. Until its my time to be carried, keep worrying of the rollin' hate/love relationship. For my wife its easy: always all -needtogo- places just miraculously appear droppin from ? heaven at the passenger side door, no matter how many hours roll-wait with flashing contryside views...

Well my mom is good,
We have an schedualed operation next wendsday to repair hemroid damage. I guess they will also check for anymore cancers while they are in there. As for the car well, me and my mom were talking about it this morning. It's going to cost ATLEAST $1500 just to get the car in running condition. That's not exactly to fix the problem. Either. So moms like "well for that much we better just get another car and keep the max as a side car for later down the line", for herself. I however have to start lookin at good 4 bangers(hondas,240's,etc...) for good gas and stuff for under like 1k I think. Thanks to moms new job she works from like 7pm-3am(or later) then she has to get up and get me and my bro to school(at 7) and it's killing her. So right now getting her some sleep is her MAIN priority...So along with that we are taking it one day at a time........Thanks for all the support though.

you'll probably not find a honda or 240 for less than 1k , you best options are the sentra, or if you can live with one a cavalier.
older subarus are known for good mileage and power (at least my 2wd legacy did both)

My friends are ALL older then me as in they work and live out on their own. My bros school and mine are across town. We could take the bus. But that means for us to get up at around 5am everyday just to get to school "late" everyday. And that's if I don't miss a bus. We only got another few weeks of it if mom can live with it. IF not I will tell her we'll take the bus anyway and just live with it. Tax time is around the corner, and she plans on takin some out of her first check to solve tanspo issues. We picked honda cause well one of my friends knows hondas like I know Z's(guru). So I needs no mechanic EVER...pluss inline 4..anything head or internal can be handles by myself with less then a day to fix it. Parts are everywhere...engine bay is spacey...and leaves room for future mods once all the important right now is smoothed out. I'm holdin in there so just making a plan and prayin...

Thats good idea. Have one simple, 'gassaving' car to keep u all on the road. If maxima is worth it, keep it. (If I am not wrong, u can get whole 50k engine starting from 500$...) Look hard at it, toss it away if that THING increases u pain in this land of living.

U know, we were never promised heaven on earth. Humble will get there after pain is over, proud rocket scientists never. These things keep u right on this humbling spot. My prayers with ya and u precious mama, Bob. Keep u tail up!
