tranny temp...
not sure what brand you have...but do you have the manifold block? if you do then you can screw the sensor in the block. ground the block and run a wire from the top of the sensor to the gauge. if you need wiring on the gauge (i'm going assume you have an autometer) then you can get the wiring diagram from their website. i'm pretty sure other companies would have the wiring info on their site.

well the AT temp gauge comes with a small threaded sensor..how are you going to install it? this needs to be in contact w/ the ATF in order to get a reading.

It's not complicated. You find a way to put the sending unit in the ATF. I found a large screw in plug that screws in my tranny casing. It was very low, near the pan. I removed that, and adapted the sending unit and that's it.

As for the ricer Air/Fuel gauge, don't waste your time. Return it. That gauge only reads your stock narrowband o2 sensor. It will only tell you if you're rich or lean. You can simply connect a multimeter and read the voltage of your o2 sensor and it will tell you the exact same thing... you just won't have that ricer light show constantly blaring in your face all day! If you are truely concerned about custom tuning your car, then get an EGT, or better yet, a wideband o2 sensor like I have.

cut the hose that the hot tranny fluid travels to the radiator.....put 2 barbed ends on a t fitting, and just hook the hoses to the barbed ends and screw the temp sending unit into the other hole....bring in the gauge to home depot to get the right size thread....im going to guess 3/8" thats what I used. Ask the guys there for help...

Well done.

The temp can be measured here also from outside. Just buy 10$ digital gauge which has enough range, tape its sensor here and add little (½") insulation on the sensor. I bet that u get reading with no bigger than few degrees difference...
