Clutch pedal spacer?

Is there some type of spacer that is supposed to go between the clutch pedal bracket and the firewall? If so, what does it look like?

there are spacers but there welded to the firewall

when we did the swap on my friends max we just didnt use any and it worked fine but you could use some washers or 2 short 1/2in long pieces of pipe

the red piece is the factory spacer that was welded onto the firewall of my parts car, but my car was swapped to 5speed so those nuts were used to act as a spacer

I ended up using playwood for a spacer.

One more thing. What is the size/thread for the bolt that holds the top of the bracket?

if ur referring to the one under ur dash that holds the clutch pedal bracket in place that bolt should be a 12mm if not a 14mm if i remember correctly. i just used 2 small tubes for my spacers and it works just fine.
