Armorall on Plastic...

A few months back my son tried cleaning the MAX. He used Armorall on the dash, got some on the plastic part the covers the digital speedmeter cluster. The bottom has a haze to it.

Anyone know of a way to remove the damage short of changing out the unit?

wax and grease remover should take the armor all off and then polish it up with plastic polish like these guys have said.

Armorall on anything = BAD. However if you are looking for something that works on palstic good. The new "tuner" maguiers stuff works AWSOME !!!! Actually maguiers anything works DAMN good, just costly....

No, not true.

If you're really worried, just avoid stuff that has a warning about petroleum distillates. Most water-based protectants these days are pretty similar in chemical makeup, and only differ in details like consistency, longevity, scent (sometimes), and finish.

Normal rubbing alcohol may also work to clean the plate. If non-abrasive cleaners do not work, THEN try a plastic polish. Several companies make such a product and sell it at the retail level, so you should be able to find something... Good luck.
