Tire gets brownish after a long time

I use Armorall Tire foam every now and then when i wash my car, but ive noticed that it gets frmo black to brownish color, after a long time. I wash and soap the tire as well, but it seems to be like a brown. Is there any other product that doesnt ruin the tire color? Could it be just this specific armorall tire foam that causes it?

Heard there is something in Armorall and Black Magic that cause tire to turn brown after awhile. I've used Meguiar's Endurance and Hot Shine both for 2 years, no problems, tires stay black.

Do you have Falken tires?! Both my friend and I have had the same issue, but right after you dress them, they are good for quite some time.

The brown is dirt build up,mine do the same after a while. Tire shine products tend to attract dirt over time.

When they do,I use comet/water and a stiff bristled brush to remove the dirt build up.

Time to try a different tire shine. Nope i got Toyo Tires. Im gonna first scrub the tires with a brush then put some other brand of tire shine on them!

You gotta keep the tires clean, with tireshine it attracts dirt cuz its like sticky, well then it kinda bakes itself into the tire, use a cleaner and a stiff brush to it should all come off. My freind use to get that on his altima all the time.

The tires need to be cleaned well first. I wouldn't use Comet, though. Too abrasive/caustic. Same goes for Westley's Bleach White. Those products actually remove the black coloring from the tire, causing them to turn brown.

As for the dressing only use a water based product. Granted, it doesn't last as long, but it won't attract dirt. Stay away from any silicone based dressings. These are the ones that make the tires really glossy. They will add to the browning.

I use an all-purpose cleaner for both rims and tires to alleviate that.

I stick with meguiars, too. I try to shy away from armorall as much as I can.

what I do before I use any tire protectant or dress-up is use a bristle/brush with soap and water (usually the same soap and water that I used for the car) and scrub the tire wall to get any excess dirt off before applying it. Armorall or anything else wouldnt help tire shine and life if it wasnt cleaned before... kinda like tryin to wax a car before you wash it.
