carpet wet inside car

Is there anything to do about wet floorboards, carpets
the carpets are wet from the floorboards lettng the water seep into the metal
I checked for window leaks and havent found any,,,,,,,,
BUT
on a wet day raining or NOT
my carpets get wet
the car IS 15 years old and the floorboards aren't rusted through YET,,,,
is there some kind of undercarriage undercoating that would fix this?

First you gotta figure out where the water is coming from. unfortunately, that's not easy sometimes.

try pulling up the carpet on one side of the car, then drive around in the rain. see if you can figure out where the water is coming in.

could be coming in from a door seal, hole in the floorboard, the cowl up front leaking in around the airbox, all kinds of places.
