starting trouble

these past few days it has been really cold, like around 10degrees, and on two occasions my car took a couple tries to start, like i would turn the key and it wouldn't even make a sound at all, it would take a few seconds to make like a weird sound like it would actually be trying, then the second turn it would sound a little better, and finally start on the third try, anyone know if this is a major problem, or just happens cuz it's cold?

i think that is what it is, cuz on warmer days my car starts fine, it actually starts sometimes without me having so turn the key like all the way, it seems i just push it a tiny bit past the on and it starts so i think stuff is just frozen

100Warm or 40cold - starts from first try. If maintenance has been done, that is.
