i have a big problem with my 91. i was drivin in traffic yesterday and my car just starts to lose power. it slowed down and everytime i step on he gas the car wont go past 15 mph. once in a while it stutters and go to the normal speed but then it slow right back down to 10- 15 mph. someone told me it might be my spark plugs but i dunno. can anybody help me?

p.s. theres alot of snow up here would the weather have anything to do with it?

Yes you can do it yourself with minor tools.

Look at where you put your air filter...its connected to that and has a plug with wires going to it. Take that plug off and you should see how to swap it out.

First just try to clean the connections and plug it back up.

This is the sensor that is more than likely faulty

Here is the link to test and change it:

One other thing you could do is disconnect the sensor to see how it runs after. Is it better? Worst?

A new one costs several hundred bucks. You might want to see if you know someone else with a 3rd gen to see if you can swap MAF sensors and see if that is the problem. Otherwise, you might want to look through the 3rd gen classifieds and see if someone is selling one. BTW, all years of 3rd gens both VE and VG engines use the same MAF.
