Fuel Injectors Recall or service bulletin for '89
Fuel Injectors Recall or service bulletin for '89
Is there one of these. A mechanic said there is, but I can't find documentation. A few dealers said it was only up to 88.
The car has a gas odor; I think I get a headache and bitter taste.
Yes I noticed the sticky.
The smell does not go away after the car warms up.
I am in SoCal and it does not happen just when it's cold.
It's a strong smell that gets into the seats, etc. It's an old car that's slowly dying.
The mechanic already looked at the car. Would he not normally check the rubber fuel lines? I guess I could go back and ask about it specifically.
The heater and A/C do not work. There is some heat coming from the engine thru the vents (without the fan) however. I am not sure whether the smell comes from the vents.
The dash and controls are digital.

I told the mechanic about the rubber fuel lines, etc. Assuming he understood what I meant, he said something about fuel injectors not being separate from the fuel lines or the rubber hoses and that they have to be replaced together. Is this correct or is he talking about something else.
