I had this happen. It was the Engine control Fuse. Check it again, even replace it with a new one to make sure.

Something like that happened to me once. I had to replace my timing belt. If the car is in the garage, take off the distributor cap, have someone crank the car, and see if the rotor spins. If it doesn't it will prolly be your timing belt.

well ...it turns over fine ya know ....i didnt mess with it for a while and i tried to start it and it started right up like it was fine ...ran for like 10 secs and died ........no fuses are blow ive checked very carefully ....coil is good ....distrubuter or maybe the ECU , could be bad . im clueless ...hmmm do 3rd generation maximas have cam sensor????could be a possibillity i guess ....its probably a easy fix but its one of those process of elimination things ....well my sis has a 90 maxima im in the process of trying to talk her into letting me use her car as a golfer ...lol....but not sure if she will fall for it .....when i did the tune up i made sure everything was reconnected and i went over the whole thing after it died im positive everything is connected ...and yes i changed the oil ....the car was running great and then dies without any warning/noise at all ....so i guess im just gonna have to spend some money ...even tho im on a tight budget .........and oh yea i dint buy it from a relative ....i bought it from a used car lot ....the reason he was trying to sell it so cheap was because ...he thought the manifold was cracked ......he was an idiot .......all was wrong was it needed a y-pipe ....now it sounds great ....quit as hell ....i called the dude after i fixed it ..he sounded pissed cause he knew he just lost alot of money.....but thank for all the help if anyone else knows anything hook me up ....thank

Check the battery? I don't know if that will cause it to start every once in a while, but it's worth a shot.
