fuel injectors

My mech said one of my injectors is gone. car is idling bad and power is down. I've done some shopping and found Venom high flow injectors cheaper than most other injectors. I figure if he is going to do 1 I might have him do the other 2 in back since he has to take it apart anyway. I don't have the $$ to do all 6. Is there any prob with having different injectors running? and any thoughts about the Venom injectors? Thanks.

If you have a regular car, then just go for OEM ones. And if you cant afford that then IMHO , a used OEM injector is better than a rebuil/reman one.

3 of my injectors went bad awhile back, and I drove around like that for about 5 months till I could get the money together for repairs. If Im not mistaken I also got the Venoms.. Not sure though, I know they were the aftermarket rebuilt ones or something like that and came in a black box with some snake on it. I think it was Python tho. Forgot.. Anyway, I changed all 6 and I payed $40 for each. Same day, I did a full tune-up and all together with injectors and tune-up it came out to about $320 including labor. Car runs like new, so far no problems.

what can I expect and how long should I run with a bad injector? If I can ride it out until the tax check comes in I can do all 6.

Well, I asked this question before somewhere else and some said it's okay to do it, some said it's bad for the engine, something could break, etc. All I know is that alot of bolts were loosened up from all those months of seriose shaking. The engine shook really bad and I had a nice exhaust tune of an american muscle car Maybe I got lucky and nothing happened to me, maybe somebody may not be as lucky. Who knows, but overall if you think about it.. If your planning on keeping the car in the long run, better maintain it as well as you can. The engine should not be driven in a bad condition for long periods of time. Seems like common sense.

Rebuilt nissan injectors are a bad idea,
they have an abnormally high defect rate.
when I got my car I put in 3 remans, shortly after I had to put in 2 more (replacing at least 1 defect) then a bit later 2 more went out!
I said f-it and put in 2 new ones
now I have another one goiung intermittently,
want to bet it's one of the rebuilt ones going bad?

spend the money and get new ones, you won't regret it.
I'll even toss in free o'rings

Be car -e- full: Only Push.

Dont Worry be Happy:

- Dont Worry - there are 5000 other parts going broke, in any car. Question is THE timing.
- Be Happy - Maybe u can blow the engine before injectors?

not sure about the 240s injector design, so I can't comment whether he is lucky or not.
my parts all come with the manufacturers (Bosch in this case) Warranty. whatever that may be

I'm about to replace the other 3 reman injectors that are left in my car because another one is failing :grr:
and it's a rear one. no way am I gonna make the guys do it more than this one more time.
I've only got one original injector left
and there goes another $300

I was talking to my friend thats big into RX7's and he sends his some where to get rebuilt. They always have better then rated flow and they say or show what kind of spray they have b4 and after. All the info they sent back was really detailed, and it was very interesting. He said they only take a day or 2 and the injectors run perfect after. I cant remember where he sent them but he made it sound like they did all kinds of injectors. Anyway I'll find out and report back...

The RX7 uses a different style injector than nissan does.
The nissan injectors fail electrically which 99% of the rebuilders can't repair.
they can clean them which will restore the flow and spray pattern but won't fix the electrical part.
