please help!!! My axle!!

hey guys i need some help quick. my driver side cv axle has been popping for about two weeks now. yestersay my mom came and woke me up telling me that the car was leaking transmission fluid. i went outside and there was fluid everywhere. after checking thing out, it turns out the fluid was coming out of the hole where you stick the axle in the tranny. so i went on ahead and bought a new axle and axle seal yesterday. me and my buddies put it in. No leaks all yestersay. now today my mom droves my car and she said when she came out of the sore, the car had another infamous tranny fluid puddle under the car. when she got home ichecked it again. but the leak was coming from the same spot. the seal is in place and every thing is still seated correctly whats going on? please help.

The axle may not be in all the way. I know on mine it looked like it was in all the way but if you got up close to it then you could see that there was a small gap. I just used a piece of wood and sledge hammer to get it all the way in. Dont put the piece of wood on the boot or you will ruin the boot.

Anyway that would be what I would check...or you put the seal in a little crooked (it has to be perfectly flat).

Yes.

The wheel angle helps cornering - should be same on both sides, are they? If not, maybe smtg loose on strut assy (adjustable bolts?).

I could go and take a pic, but dunno if it helps: Has to be exact same tranny, I have GXE with RE4F02A tranny. Gimme u product...

Most propably u have to take it out, see that the new seal is ok, not bent or ripped. Try first what 505max94se -said...

There should be less than 3mm space between the seal and the axle. If you can "pull" the axle out by hand, it's not all the way in. Also the seal could have been nicked and leaking a little. Just curious, where did you buy your axle?

Did you put the circlip back on the new shaft when you installed it? If not, it may not be in all the way and letting it slip out enough to leak by the splines.

well i dont know what happened but the fluid has stopped leaking. all my tranny fluid is still in there. so im guessing that the axle wasnt fully seated and something knocked it on in. my lean i had was more than a cornering lean it was a about to drop down lean. the lean fix.well i took the wheel off and loosened the axle and grabbed the hub side of the axle and pushed it out as i tightened the hub nut. that retty much fixed the lean. i didnt do that at first I just tightened the nut. so now i have the cornering lean. Thanks guys. Now by me having to add new tranny fluid since the old leaked out, do i need to expect tranny probs now or i should be ok.
