Automatic window roll downer thingy
I read on some site that the maximas have the button to roll the window down automatically. I interpreted that as you touch it once and it goes all the way down. I have that ****, button, or whatever you want to call it but when i touch it the window goes down about 1/3 of the way on its own and then stops. Is that how its supposed to work, or is mine broken and if so how do i fix that? Thanks in advance

Thats where i found out that the window was an automatic roll down thing, but his site shows you how to make it go up on its own too, not how to fix the rolling down.
Also internetautomar i sent you a PM about exhaust. Thanks

I have similar auto roll-down, roll-up issues and they are indeed attributed to a worn window control panel. using craig's site I too changed my auto-down so it will auto up as well. I have found that in humid weather and cold weather this modification hasn't worked as well as I had hoped. MOST of the cause would be age and condition of the panel itself.
does that really answer your ?, probablly not...but another look at craig's site may help. Good Luck

That's not how it's supposed to work. I had the EXACT same problem. After my window regulator failed on my VG, I had it fixed at a local shop. After that, the "roll all the way down" function started acting exactly like yours, rolling only about 1/3 at a time.

so what is the verdict on this 1/3 roll down syndrome? Mine does it too, but I assumed it was the regulator, because the action was a bit slow. Now I am led to believe it is the entire switchboard? I looked at priced, it is over 100 bucks. I won't pay that just so I don't have to hold down a button.....

It's worn switches...period. I went to a junkyard and found a practically brand new switch (still had all the letters), and the window rolled up (after mod) and down all the way. I paid $20 for the master switch.
