antenna blues: Part 2

so i was putting in my aftermarket OEM look-alike antenna and i cut the wires attached to the harness, obviously because the harness would not fit the aftermarket antenna. Next thing I do is hard wire all the wires together and mount the antenna. Now the whole time my radio was playing so I could tell if the antenna worked or not. When I was done I noticed that my clock and radio didn't turn on when i turned the ignition. It wasn't the wiring cuz i undid all of it and it still wouln't work. Weird. What could it be???
