relocated VG MAF

Do you guys know of any reason why I couldn't make an extension for the wires running to my MAF, or extend teh wires themselves, so that I could make a custom cai for my VG. I mean I dunno if the MAF runs off an exact voltage, which could potentially be a problem, or a signal, which shouldn't be as much of a problem. And if I am gonna make an extension, anyone know where I could get a dead MAF for free or cheep?

No problem. Install it so that its resistors will not get too much vibrations & break...

Just cut wires, solder extension wires, wrap with self vulcanizing rubber.

I believe the MAF does run from a certain voltage. If you need instructions on a cheap CAI for the VG here you go http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=294449
