question about low compression pistons...

http://www.importperformanceparts.ne...ns_nissan.html

On their site, they have pistons for a vg30dett...with a 8.5-8.9 CR
I was just wondering if they would fit into a ve30de engine???

ok..well..I searched some more of their site and found this...
http://www.importperformanceparts.ne...ek-nissan.html

If you scroll down to the Maxima section, it saids vq3ode, but they have a listing for 92-94 maximas also, possibly for the ve30de???Wouldn't I benefit from a 9-1 CR kit since im boosted and planning on boosting a little more????

Yup, VE has the same bore and stroke as the VG engines. I believe it also technically has the VG30DE(TT) rods but I'm not sure. I just know that there's a company out there that makes rods for the VE and has the same part number listed for the VE and VG30DE(TT).

Lowering the compression being boosted will allow you to run more boost. I'd probably go to 9:1 as my engine is 8.3:1 and its a dog off the line.

I believe MT is right. But it wouldn't hurt to do all the math to confirm also. How has your engine held up so far?

Yeah Mark is right. I would go with a 9:1. you should be able to run about 15 psi from a good charger if it is tuned right.
