PCV and intake manifold

I was cleaning out my intake tube and i noticed that in the lower intake manifold there was a small puddle, about the size of a half dolar of an oilish fluid. It was a little thicker than oil but looked just like it. I looked at the near by hoses that connect to the intake and i checked the PCV valve, and it was clogged. I changed the PCV valve, and maybe that will fix the puddle. But does anyone else have any ideas of what it could be?

You're just spoiled with Maxima. Buy ol GM and drip your hands after that oil slick has flooded u air filter...

Engine 'breaths' always. Inside there are cams, pistons, rods wisping spruiting saudi oil. Air inside is full of it. Now that slimy air is ventilated via intake and burned... The old cars sucked the slimy oily air BEFORE the filter...

GM etc people still speak of 'piston tolerances'. Maxima people ask: whats that?
