Max Broke Into By A Maxima Driver!!!

about 12:50am this morning, my mom and I woke up to the soud of my car alarm going off. These guys were really brave because they were still outside in the car when we were going out. There were two people at my car and one in the getaway car. The damage and loss. From the looks of it, one guy was at the door and another at the trunk. but thank god for the maxima trunk lock. They must have used a family dollar screwdriver because a portion of it was broke off in the cylinder. I pulled it out and stuck my key in and it was still functioning. buy i guess they got mad and busted the small window on my back door, opened the front and tried to pop my trunk from the inside. they pulled up the gas door handle thinking it was the trunk pop.So that didnt work. As a last resort guess what?

They ripped my back seat off fom the inside and crowbarred my amp rack from behind the seat with my Memphis 1000D. All my wires were hanging out the door torn apart. I dont even believe the amp will even work anymore. When they ran they got in a white 3rd gen max. the getaway max had to have been a 89-91 because of the fact that they thought the trunk pop wason the floor. That kind of saved me from a total loss. my radio face was not on and my monitor was flipped in. that wasnt touched. If my trunk would have opened they probaly would have got my subs but would have dropped it trying to run.

and i do do all of the preventative measures such as not playing your system in your neighborhood and so on. Everything is bolted down plus i have two sirens on the alarm. All in all these ***kers are just brave. So a broke window and a stolen amp to be replaced. The getaway car was close by but too far too get a tag number. That sucked, but at least I still got my max. And also these people are fast. It all happened in less than 2 minutes time. Dayyuumm!!

Add more to be lost:

Alarm with boosted sirens. Get one of those in that produce them to womit; nice cleanup, eh.

One guy installed bear traps here after ten such suckers: he, owner, sits in jail...

Install alarm to call your cellphone.

sad to see your loss man, but you have to think about it.... With rims like that, you're asking for people to rip you off.. they KNOW you have a system in there too. What car with rims like that doesn't?

anyway.. it coulda been worse. sorry it happened, but consider yourself lucky it wasn't worse.

i think im going to go the extra measure and install another siren inside the car under the dash, so they wont wanna sit in there too long. i might have to add another relay for it because i dont know how many sirens my alarm brain can hold without burning up.

yeah, they don't take too much... I think they're rated for 8-10 A or so and each siren uses 5-10, depending on kind.

get some of those really high-pitched ones that make your ears bleed. put at least two under the dash and one in the trunk.

flamethrowers are also a good choice. If they walk away, make sure they're disfigured for life.

I personally think car alarms that make a lot of noise are a waste. Most people ignore them. Like someone else said, get one that calls your cell phone--silently.

Well there's a difference between annoying people around you and hurting the ears of the people trying to get into your car. If their ears are bleeding, they're not going to hang around and strip the car. same thing if they're on fire.

I've had my car broken into in the past and $10k worth of stereo ripped out of it. I have ZERO sympathy for someone that gets their jollies off by stealing someone else's hard work and money. get a f***ing job and buy it yourself. don't steal it from someone else.

I know the feeling even deeper than that. I've had my ride stolen before...not either of my Maxes, but an old 84 Buick Regal Limited.

Perfect condition, 70,000 original miles, ran like all get out. And then one night, someone decided it was time to relieve me of the burden of owning it, and go hopping curbs in south-central Phoenix. Least I got $4k back from the insurance co. to replace it.

But that sucks man. I feel the pain.

well i got a new window from the junkyard for 15 bucks and I put it in about 2 hours ago. I just need to go get it tinted tomorrow so it wont be mismatch. this whole ordeal has only motivated me to do even better with my system. The way I look at it now is that people steal cars or out of cars whether you have custom accessories or not. This was the second time my car has been broken into, but i wasnt broken like i was the first time it happened. And the first time they didnt even take anything, just a broken window. Same one but on the passenger side. So I think i'll go back to my old setup with 4 15's since I kept my boxes. But I have to tweak up my alarm some more first.

But it's soooo much easier just to steal it instead of working for it...

It seems like most of the time the kind of people that steal stuff aren't capable of getting a job and that's why they steal, pretty ridiculous. A shotgun with rounds full of rock-salt is good medicine for theives

I suggest installing the sirens inside the car for best ear bleeding experience...

I saw that flamethrower alarm isn't that like in South Africa? I don't know what I'd do if I ever got robbed probably cry and then hit something. I'd put up a wall that makes it hard to get to stuff you need a power drill and be very strong to steal my system. I keep a wooden stake about 3 feet long in my trunk to in case of emergency and as a deterent. Mostly I use it to prop up the hood and threaten people. I hope you find the people and they get whats coming.

You should try to get a print off the trunk release lever if you already didn't pull it up after the instance. Maybe the police can get a print.
