I think the stock WRX lights look pretty nice on maximas. I know you'll get crap about not doing something original though. I've never seen the aftermarket ones so I dont know about those. It is a lot of work either way.
you lost me here. What?

I definitely dont like those Kasei ones. If you can get the stock ones free, I'd do it. If you're gonna buy something aftermarket, I'd go with R33 or something completely different than has been done. You'll need to do a lot of work with any taillight so get something you really like.

You can mold your whole back end in. Remove the lenses from a set of r33's and stick em in there, that would my next project if i get another max someday. But those aftermarket tails for a wrx are too hondaish.
Invest in a mig welder and grinders before you buy the tails.

what about the e36 tail lights .. they even got aftermarket ones that might have a close fit Kasei Products how bout theses

a good grinder is about 50-70.
A mig ranges from 150 to 2,000. I got a 200 dolla one, works fine and runs off a 110 outlet. The e36 tails will work, it's be done before, I don't really like em myself. actaully i think the person who did have e36 tails took them out soon after and frenched in some trailer lights.

...mine looks ghetto. I used the wrong screws to hold in the lense, so now it has rust on it. I just need some stainless screws.
I just removed the lense from a stock set of coners.
Put thin weather strip bewtwean the gaps.
Cut a new lense out of acrylice and screw it on carefuly,
I'll get a pic up later on. Looks like crap right now though have to warn ya.
