gas tank help
first figure out why it's leaking
since you're in the NE, it's probably due to rust
If that's the case, I'd probably go for another tank since there will probably be other wholes forming soon. I got one for my prelude from a local junkyard for $5. It had a whole punctured in it though so I took it to a local muffler shop and for $15 they welded up the hole. Then I covered the welded seam with JB Weld to make extra sure nothing would leak. It held up pretty well and didn't leak but I sold the car about a month later so I dont know if it's still working or not (but I think it'd be fine).
See if you can find one in good condition from a local junkyard.

I'm not sure if you should go and try fixing a leaking fuel tank, as it is a bit dangerous, and gasoline have a tendency to react with most of the things that are used to bond to the metal.
However, I can suggest that you go to a weld shop, but first, empty the tank out for several days, leave as many places open as possible (spot for fuel pumps and such, so that air can get it, dry out whatever gas that is left inside, and for the fumes to have a chance to escape.
The second option, which is the better choice, is to go to a junkyard and try to find a max with an intact fuel tank and pull those. They are rare, but I think if you look hard enough, they do exist.
Edit: damn, I'm late, craigh beats me to it.

yeah, definitely drain the tank thoroghly and let it air out for a while
also, the shop who does the welding should know this, but fill the tank with water while welding to prevent any sparks from igniting gas vapors left in the tank
