am i thinking of goo gone?

hey everyone, im getting ready to remove the door molding tomorrow on my max as well as taking off the remnants of the double sided tape glue that was holding my car bra down, and i was just wanting to make sure goo gone was the correct product, because i remember there was something with a similar name that would remove tha paint if used on cars.
To go along with that, whats the simplest tool to get a start on taking off the back door molds, because their on surprisingly snug, while the fronts are both about 25% off the way off already.
