Reprogramming the Keypad, Please Help?

Hi All,
I tried searching but this function was turned off. This question must have been asked a zillion times, but if you can help, it'd be greatly appreciated.
My 91 Maxima alarm keyfob failed years back, so I've been using the key to unlock and turn off the alarm. Then the left door intermittenly get unlocked but would not open other doors or disable the alarm. The right door worked OK untill a couple days ago. It failed the same way, the key opens the door but not the left door or shut the alarm. I called the local dealer and they referred me to the Corporation. I called 1-800-NISSAN1 and they have no idea how to help me. All I want to know is this:

- The process to reprogram the keypad or how to get the keypad code.
- If there is a way to shut the activated alarm with the key.
- If I can bypass the alarm entirely.
- Any other thing I can try.

Nissan suggested that I just tow the car in to the dealer. It's 40 minutes from here, and it probably costs 1/2 as much as the car's current worth to fix this problem. Without a second car, going to the babysitter and work in the morning is a major headache. Can you steer me to the right answers?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Regards,
Alan
