i was wondering what are the best things I could do to a Maxima to get better road handling around corners? How can I get better stability over 150 km/h? When you push the car hard in corners it just doesn't feel as responsive as it ought be. I know I'm not driving a Bimmer, but I plan to race them!
Any ideas for great parts or tuning would be appreaciated!

As the other guys said.. and I emphasize the wheels/tires.
no matter what you do to the suspension, if your'e still driving on the stokck 15s, it'll corner like hell. for handling, you need either 16 or 17s. don't waste your time with 18s.. they're pretty, but they're heavy, bend easily, and tires are $$$$$$$.

after that, start with the cheapest first..
Strut Tower brace ($60), then go with sway bars, ($250, shipped), then springs and struts ($4-600 for the set)

I have 18's on my max and I agree that you dont need them. They definitely look good but sometimes now I wish I would have stuck with 17's. With 17's you can lower the car more and they are a little lighter. The main thing I dont enjoy about my rims is their weight. There is definitely a difference in acceleration with the bigger rims. But because they look so nice its worth it. I havent been able to buy sway bars or strut tower braces yet. And I havent got new shocks either. My stock shocks are no good anymore but I can tell you that a new set of rims and tires and some lowering springs give my car a whole different feel. I cant imagine how good she will handle when I get the money for the other suspension components. Right now it still seems to lean into turns like a town car, but because of the tires it always sticks to the road and stays in control. And believe me, the way that I drive my cars I know right away whether or not the new tires help. Go get yourself some new rims and tires first and then mess with the suspension components. Thats my opoinion.

92GXE, touring wing, 18” racing wheels, Port&Polished intake, custom intake, custom yellow interior, racing seats, back seats taken out and replaced with subs and amps, NOS kit, Suspension tech. Lowering springs, custom grille, soon to be custom painted and have the whole engine rebuilt for big shot NOS and custom SC and tranny converted to 5-speed.

No RSTB

The rear struts are set in the rear deck in 3rd gens, making application difficult, and likely not that benificial.
