Now the question is, do I really want to do springs too? I want the handling, but am concerned about the drop with stock wheels and tires. I also am concerned about the ride. I don't think I mind harsh, but I want to know HOW harsh?

Help?!?!?

do the springs and get it over with....I did my tok's with some sprints and I don't have a problem with my ride quality. I't going to be stiffer and when you hit a bump you sure will notice it a hell of a lot better than you would with stock suspension, but if you do struts/springs at the same time you'll save yourself some headaches and some cash.

hey primeevil711...i am getting ready to do the spring/strut upgrade from original and wanted to know what you opinion is on the tokico shox, i know most people want the koni yellows but art the tokico shox just as good? and for todamax just to let you know i called shox.com and they quoted me $199 for a set of eibach springs for my 91se and $319 for the tokico shox but if you go to
www.nis-knacks.com/products/bgsuspension.html
you may find a good deal on some springs from B&G suspension. they have listed for a 91 max $180 if paid by money order or $190 for credit card prices include shipping.

BLKMAX: I got my Tokico's from Carparts.com for $309 shipped. I used a 20% off coupon to lower the price. Shox.com quoted you a GOOD price on those springs.

I rode in my friends car, lowered 2.25" with stock shocks, it didn't feel harsh to me. I doubt anything we do wit the max will be THAT noticable.

The ride is great, the car doesen't sway at high speeds and you don't get that scary floaty feeling at high speeds either. with the springs/struts installed when you turn the car sticks to the road. when you punch the gas you don't have the back end sink before the car starts hauling and when you do a short or emergency stop there's no front end dip. And damn the car sure does look better when it's lower to the ground.

if you have the stock wheels and tires they never rub, I even rode the car with myself (180lbs) and thre 200+ pounders and nothing rubbed at all. I don't have a camber kit and after I got my alignment the tires are wearing fine. by the way if you are looking for sprints....go southwestautoworks.com ask for alex.

My brother just told me about www.importhookup.com and right now you can get 15% off plus an additional 5% off when you reedeem the online coupon that is listed on the importhookup web page. Just follow the links and follow the instructions but if you have a question read the How To Use section. My total for a set of Tokico Strust (all 4 corners) and a set of B&G springs came to 490.33 price includes 23.43 for shipping and 1.95 handling I feel this is a good deal but I'm thinking of canceling the order and getting the Eibach springs instead. Any way hope this info is helpful to all...
