Glove box light
#2
probably the switch located toward the left bottom of the glove compartment is faulty, or loose connection in that area. Also, if you keep alot of stuff in your glove box, that might hold the glove box door ajar enough for the light to come on. check if you have any objects like pens/pencil in the hinge area, it fits there perfectly, but will keep the glove box door ajar.

dude its happened to me in both maxs...The screws on the interior paneling of the glove box door come loose. Make sure you tighten down all of the screws and that you arent missing any. That fixed my problem in both cars, the tighter panels allowed the glove box to shut furthur and deactivate that open box switch.

Yeah, but isn't the light supposed to come on INDEPENDANTLY of the headlights?? I would think that you can leave your headlights off, and can still open your glove box and the light comes on. I know I've had that same 'problem' for years, but have been either too lazy or too busy to check it out further.

I think it a design intend to have the glove box lights working with the headlights. The thinking is the driver only needs to have the light on in the glove box when it is dark enough for you to turn on the head lights. I 've to check my car out to see what it does now..
