my back hurts

maybe it's whip lash from smashing into another car trying to take a left turn from an intersecting street. pics tomorrow probably. damage to the hood, bumper, fender and other parts inside the engine bay. i think my frame is tweaked about 1/8". the first words out of my mouth were "stupid *****, where do you think you're gonna find me another 91 maxima with 90,000 miles on it?" i felt bad for getting upset so i apologized a couple times after that. she didn't really seem to care...about anything really...pretty laid back lady she was. hopefully i end up with a couple grand extra in the bank and the car back. sux.

Now you can find a VE and get 30 more hp...

Sorry to hear about your accident.Your back and neck will hurt more in the morning than right after the accident. Go to the doctor and get some good muscle relaxers.

Where were you at? Don't tell me it was 82nd and Powell, either. That is the worst spot. I hate that mess.

what ever happened with that? did they total it out and sell back or just fix it? this chick should not have been driving. she was trying to cross traffic who had the clear row. she was at a stop sign on a side street trying to take a left on to the busy boulevard that i was cruising on, almost hit one car as i was approaching but and then when he was clear, she darted infront of me and stopped in the middle of my lane after she saw me. at which time my brakes were alreadly locked and i broadsided the broad's suv's wheel well, doing some nice suspension damage

Sorry to hear. How do they copy these blondes around the globe???

My first maxima ABS experience was 1½yrs ago like that: had barely time to calculate how deep she will come... but in the end after emergency full brake, two ! feet separation. I was positively surprized. My older -non ABS- would have been deep inside that stupido... She even had red lights... Heaven knows why she *bo?nx* was suddendly intent to hit direct moving row of cars, and me in the end of that...

And the logic is always the same: dont look but makeup mirror, drive just in middle of opposite lane, panic and Park. Driving schools should have madatory real crash [this most typical makeup setting] for all blondies...

Btw. There are plenty of granpa 60k maximas...

lol. miles kill, and also where u store u love. Let granpa drink seafoam or water... and then do some maintenance on the aging thinny whinny wirings...

I vote for low mile car. BUT. It has to have been on traffic, yearly. If not, all rubber parts 'will fall apart' of non exercise. But that can eb overcome by swap pings.

Lack of use kills
too many miles kill
age kills
guess what. It all kills.
learn to ignore miles and you'll get better cars that last longer and are a better deal

Just saw my old bonnie, she had 115k on her when I bought (in 96) she now has 178k no major work has been needed so far. BTW the car is a 92.
learn to ignore "common knowledge" and the uncommon will come to you

did you go to the hospital yet? if so make sure they take x-rays.

And in the end, it does not matter whats da matter: skilled driver iskilled anyways, eternity becomes fact, car becomes a park bench.

Still, buing healthy vehicle with low miles save$.

it wastes money if not careful.
I buy high mileage with excellent maintenance much better than low mileage with "normal" maintenance

that is a VERY generous estimate for that much damage. There doesnt look like theres that much frame damage. Was the driver interested in settling it outside of insurance? Whatever you get, I think you could get it fixed for about $600-$700, if you get your own parts from a pick-n-pull yard..

definitely, i was looking for the highest estimate so i went to this asian shop that i've went before to get high estimates. i want them to total it so i can get cashed out and fix it myself for cheap, plus end up with some cash in the bank.

it'll be a salvage though if you buy it back, not that it really matters if you dont plan on selling it..

Holy cow! That estimate sounds extremely nice. I could buy a couple of 3rd gens with that money. I have a funny feeling that the insurance company won't pay out that much. They may call it totaled and shell out "their" estimated worth of the car. Hopefully, you don't get screwed like that. Good luck.

U hurt uself with hate, let that out. Although the issues behind that might be even lots worse than we ever would guess...

There are real differences like night vs day: seek out the ranking list with worst/best compensation percentage. Zoom on the best ones and select yours. Man, that pays one day! ...er every day.

appraiser came by today, took pics of the damage and the instrument panel, told me it's probably a total. after he left, i got in my car and looked at the odometer and trip. trip was at 187 i guess it's a sign..i'll find out soon i guess. hope they don't think it's worth less than bb.

checks came. the car cost me $2800 when i bought it in october. in total, i recieved $3165 from the lady's insurance company with the salvage already deducted. $125 for new bumper assembly, $22 shipped for a new headlight, $24 shipped for clear corners, now i just need a hood and paint at least the new hood and bumper which is black. i ended up taking a jack to the core support which worked nicely to push it up and out. almost good as new i got lucky..as of now, without a new hood yet, i have been paid $191 to be its owner. not bad for a fully loaded max that currently has 96,000 miles on it
